Amsterdam... land of the free... where the coffe shops sell marijuana for you to smoke. A place where you can ask for a capuccino and some pot. Well, those days are about to finish. You will still be able to buy some marijuana at the coffe shops, but you won't be able to smoke it indoors. the new law is aimed to people smoking cigarretes but it will affect those somoking marijuana too.The first coffee shop selling marijuana and hashish opened in the Netherlands in 1972 and they now number more than 800 countrywide. They say they will be affected by this law and their reaction to it has been ranged from utter amazement to concern about what will happen to the three-decade-old tradition in Amsterdam of social pot smoking.
