Boonika T-shirt Design Contest

BOONIKA, in cooperation with Yellow Rat Bastard Magazine of New York, proudly presents: YELLOW RAT BASTARD T-SHIRT DESIGN CONTEST. All Boonika members have the prestigious right to participate, and the winner gets a very prestigious $1000 from the YRBs secret vault. You have to be a member of Boonika to participate!

YELLOW RAT BASTARD (YRB), was a word originally developed by Mark Ecko, the designer of the NYC store. The idea for the store came from a Frank Miller comic book called "Sin City"; in one issue titled "Yellow Rat Bastards".

Today, YRB as both, a print and web media is a synonym for urban art scene, concentrating all aspects of urban creativity, including street fashion, graffiti, extreme sports, (digital) video arts, great sounds and samples in one place.

RULES:

1. Designs MUST be placed inside one of two templates - a Flash template or a Photoshop template
2. There can be no more than 4 colors per artwork.
3. The size of the file you are sending to them (rectangle with your T-shirt design in it) must be 72dpi GIF or JPG in RGB mode (no bigger than 200 k) or Flash movie. Dimensions are 650 x 650 px.
Make sure you save the original in hi-res since you will need it if you win the contest.
4. Each member can submit 3 designs.
5. The designs must be submitted by their authors. Authors (members only) can upload their designs on the site.
6. Keep in mind that this is YELLOW RAT BASTARD T-Shirt dsign contest. That means that every design inspired by YRB story is more than welcome.
7. If You want Your design to be considered by YRB please read and fill the release form presented on the YRB design contest page (if you agree with its terms).

Deadline for Your submission is August 20th 2006. The winner will be decided by voting at www.boonika.com starting on September 1st 2006. You see what you like, and you cast your vote.
