The vote is on, and we all can be a part of it. The
new 7 wonders website offers you the opportunity to participate in the first-ever global vote to elect
the
New 7 Wonders of the World. This vote will culminate with a live, worldwide telecast on July 7, 2007 - 07.07.07 to announce the
New 7 Wonders of the World.
On January 1, 2006, the New7Wonder Panel of Experts, chaired by the former head of UNESCO, Prof. Dr. Federico Mayor, short-listed those nominations with the most votes received by the end of 2005. The top 77 choices have been narrowed down to just 21 finalists, which are the focus for the final year of voting.
The 21 finalists are:
Acropolis, Athens, Greece;
Alhambra, Granada, Spain;
Angkor, Cambodja;
Chichen Itza, Yucatan, Mexico;
