Australia illustrator
Dane Flighty has tapped the global trend for personalisation and the popularity of scooters by releasing an online range of decals that allow consumers to pimp their own Vespa scooters, from his small studio in Melbourne.
Dane Flighty worked up the idea last year and has signed 15 artists and illustrators from around the world to design scooter art for
PimpMyScoota.com.
Artists include stencil and graffiti artists like
Klutch (USA), Koa One (France) and artists like South African
Wes van Eeden, whose elephant inspired sneakers recently took out the K-swiss "K-spray" sneaker art competition in Cape Town.
The artist receives a commission from each sale and Dane Flighty believes it's a great way to get their work out there and also subsidise their income.
