Uma Thurman in the short "Mission Zero" for Pirelli

Although not a first time that a brand in the automotive industry explores the world of cinema to do some buzz marketing campaign [let's remember the The Hire short movies launched by BMW and starring Clive Owen presenting movies created by some of Hollywood's finest talents, that we mentioned here in Ulamonge blog in March 12, 2006], it is always worth mentioning it here.

Pirellifilm is a unique new communication tool used by Pirelli [as the name itself indicates], a tyres brand, also famous for its always sensual, provocative and very, very artsy calendars [that yours truly also already mentioned here in this blog].

Pirellifilm is a project intended to last for many years with a cinema star starring in a new movie each year.

The most recent movie to be realeased [2007 edition] is called "Mission Zero", was directed by Kathryn Bigelow and stars Uma Thurman. It comes after the first one, released in 2006, "The Call", starring Naomi Campbell and John Malkovich.
