The Dark Knight movie

The Dark Knight is the new Batman movie, following the acclaimed Batman Begins, due to be released in 18 July 2008. Also directed by Christopher Nolan, it will star Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Michael Caine as Alfred, the butler, Gary Oldman as Lt. James Gordon, Maggie Gyllenhaal as the attorney Rachel Dawes (substituting Katie Holmes), Liam Neeson as Henri Ducard, Morgan Freeman as Lucius Fox and Heath Ledger as The Joker. The movie is being filmed in Chicago and had some scenes shot in London. First introduced under the fake working title of "Rory's First Kiss" [Rory being the name of Christopher Nolan's son] to avoid getting too much attention, the movie is now known as "The Dark Knight" and will probably be the darkest of the Batman movies. A third Batman movie, after this one is being talked about.

In The Dark Knight, Batman raises the stakes in his war on crime. With the help of Lieutenant Jim Gordon and District Attorney Harvey Dent, Batman sets out to dismantle the remaining criminal organizations that plague the city streets. The partnership proves to be effective, but they soon find themselves prey to a reign of chaos unleashed by a rising criminal mastermind known to the terrified citizens of Gotham as The Joker.

A viral site for the movie was available at whysoserious.com where the teaser trailer was available and could be seen, but the site is now redirecting to Rent-A-Clown.com, where you can see the people that participated in the event at Comic-Con, held from 24 to 27 July 2007.
