U.Frame - International Video Festival

U.Frame is the first International Video Festival organised by the UP (University of Oporto - Portugal) in partnership with the UDC (University of Coruna - Spain), and it will be held in Oporto, from 1 to 5 October 2008.

U.Frame, International Academic Video Festival, is an initiative of the undergraduate degree in Communication Sciences of the University of Porto (Portugal), aimed at taking advantage of its infrastructures and technical and human resources. At the same time, and in association with the University of Coruna (Spain), the Festival intends to build a bridge between different audiovisual and multimedia degrees worldwide, in an effort to stimulate the creativity of university students.

There will be held the following competitions:

- Official Competition: in Documentary; Fiction; Animation; and Experimental

- Special Competition Second Life: - all works produced in the Second Life virtual environment can be submitted to this competition.

- Online Competition (Media Light):
Mobile (films made with mobile phones, edited or unedited, lasting a maximum of 10 minutes)
60 seconds (videos lasting a maximum of 1 minute). The film, including introduction and credits, should be no larger than 10 MB and should be submitted in one of the following formats: .mov, .wmv or .swf)
