On Bastille day, French president François Hollande presented the new Marianne that will be on French stamps for the next years. A stamp inspired by the most high-profile member of Femen and head of the French office, Inna Shevshenko, and that is now at the center of a controversy on the French politics scene.
Another reinterpretation of a French revolution's symbol - Liberty leading the people from Delacroix - less official, was presented on the banks of the canal Saint Martin in Paris at the same time.
